Ada Tseng is a journalist, editor, podcaster, runner, wellness advocate and karaoke enthusiast. She is the co-author of Breaking Into New Hollywood, a career guide designed to equip emerging creatives with the insights, tools, and inspiration to thrive in today’s rapidly-changing entertainment industry. The upcoming book, out August 2025, is co-written by Jon Healey and published by the Los Angeles Times and Simon & Schuster.  

She has spent her career spotlighting Asian American voices in media.  She produces and co-hosts the Asian American pop culture history podcast, Saturday School, with Brian Hu. Saturday School was featured in has been featured by Vanity Fair as one of “10 Essential Podcasts From AAPI Creators” and Reader’s Digest as “15 Asian American and Pacific Islander Podcasts You Need to Listen To.”

A former reporter and editor at the Los Angeles Times, Ada co-founded of the L.A. Times AAPI Caucus. She was previously an editor of Asian American publications including Asia Pacific Arts, Audrey Magazine and Comcast’s Xfinity Asia, and she is the creator of Haikus With Hotties, a non-award-winning calendar series . In 2026, she was highlighted in OC Weekly’s People Issue for covering “the Asian-American pop culture you’ll find out about next year.”
